Licensed books used to be much more integrated with the Marvel line (Rom, 2001, Spidey appearing in Transformers). Is it a conscious decision to not do that anymore to avoid the future headaches, or do the license deals nowadays simply not allow for it?
Conscious decision. It doesn’t make sense to integrate elements into the Marvel Universe that may one day have to be yanked back out.
